Born in San Francisco, California, Anna Moore is an American actress, producer, and entrepreneur who is showing no signs of stopping her approach towards diverse careers in the entertainment field. And what is more interesting is that Anna had not even predicted that she would be a part of so many career roles.
Going back to the past, when Anna acted in the role of Mowgli in a Berkeley Regional Theater production of ‘The Jungle Book’ as a child, she notes how it sparked her everlasting passion to be an actress in the future.
And to pursue her career choice, she was determined to polish her skills by studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and attending many acting-based organizations such as the International Theatre Workshop in Amsterdam.
After graduating with a double major with honors from the New York University Tisch School of the Artis, she set out towards the entertainment industry to kick start her ambitious acting career. In 2007, Anna made her feature film debut with a role in Magnolia Pictures’ dramatic feature ‘The Life Before Her Eyes.’
During the movie production, she had the excellent opportunity to work alongside famous artists such as Uma Thurman, Evan Racheal Wood, and Eva Amurri Martino, from whom she learned how to further grow and improve as an actress.
Eventually, her efforts paid off because her progression as an actress led to her winning an “Outstanding Achievement Award for Best Actress” for her lead role as Alice Belmont in the feature film “Fighting Fish” at the 2011 New York Visionfest Film Festival.
This opened up further opportunities for her to work in other famous works such as ‘I’m Charle Walker”, “Criminal Minds”, and her latest feature film “A Wrinkle in Time” where she worked as a spokesmodel for the Nissan Leaf fully electric vehicle in 2018.
Although Anna was passionate about acting, she also showed an interest in politics as a young child and spent her high school years actively immersed in political-based clubs and groups.
She spent many years honing her political knowledge- which was highly acknowledged as well when she won the award for advocating the abolishment of prison slave labor through a change to the 13th Amendment of the US Constitution. Additionally, she actively participates as a civil activist and is a current member of the Acting Union SAG-AFTRA.
Anna believes that working in the entertainment industry has inspired her to try her hand at diverse careers and help her grow as a performing artist. This also explains her current occupational venture- becoming a singer/songwriter.
After her acting role in Hip Hop Legend Diamond D’s music video ‘I Can’t Lose” in 2020, Anna further explored her opportunities and weaved her own lyrical creativity. It is expected that in 2021, Anna will be dropping her first single, “Soul ft. SriKala”, which will be a part of her upcoming film, “I’m Charlie Walker.”
Moreover, this single will be a part of a hip-hop compilation album called ’13th Amendment,” in which several artists will be featured, such as KRS-1, Chuck D, and many A-list performers who are helping Anna out in starting her music career with a bang!
